Once Upon a Time, there was a guy named Frank from New Jersey, who was teaching his friend how to use Tinder. Frank said, “Look, she’s a pretty girl; I’m going to swipe right on her.” The “pretty girl” was Allison from New York. Allison was impressed by Frank’s Tinder Profile and decided to swipe right on him, as well. They “matched” on her birthday and chatted via Tinder Messaging for about 3 days, before graduating to text messaging and phone calls. After talking for about 3 weeks, Frank asked Allison if she’d like to go on a date at a restaurant of her choice. She excitedly (and a little nervously) said, “Yes!” and asked him to meet her at Uva Rossa Taverna, in Malverne, New York. Their first date went very well (aside from Allison walking into a bush on their way into the restaurant), so they decided to go on a second date. Since the Pandemic had just been announced and businesses were beginning to close, Allison and Frank’s next dates consisted of: walks in parks, ordering food to go and eating on public benches, going for drives through local neighborhoods, FaceTiming, and when things got really tough - parking their cars next to one another in the Valley Stream King Kullen's parking lot and rolling their windows down to conversate. Although the beginning of their relationship looked a bit different, it allowed them to truly get to know and love one another (minus all the bells and whistles … and haircuts). The rest is history, really!
